Responsibilities

The Database Engineer designs and develops schemas and database code to enhance our web application across the database layer. Specific responsibilities include:

·         Builds high-performing, secure, globalized software using design patterns.

·         Participates in and conducts code reviews.

·         Follows and contributes to software development best practices.

·         Offers proposed design changes/suggestions to processes and products.

·         Interacts cross functionally with other teams.

·         Troubleshoots database performance bottlenecks and provides both code and configuration change suggestions.

Requirements

·         Deep experience building/modifying database schemas and associated database code in SQL Server.

·         Experience utilizing SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008.

·         Experience with database performance tuning.

·         Ability to debug SQL Server applications.

·         Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 

Desirable Skills

·         Experience providing SQL Server database administration.

·         Experience working with internationalized applications.

·         Experience working with version control and code deployment processes.

·         Bachelor’s degree from accredited college in related discipline
