Description:

Responsible for developing work plans, establishing technical objectives, assigning tasks, and managing groups/teams. Maintains schedules and coordinates activities of an entire team. Provides guidance to employees doing engineering design, development, and implementation work by establishing goals that are aligned with established policies and standards. Monitors the completion of tasks within time and cost constraints and ensures that technical and functional objectives are met. Identifies and recommends changes to established practices and policies. Regularly interacts with supervisors, peer managers, and employees within and beyond a particular function. Requires in-depth technical and operational knowledge within area of responsibility.

·         Manage a team of 6-8 developers and technical leads.

·         Develops and provides challenging yet appropriate assignments, evaluates work, communicates progress toward career development and goals.

·         Collaborates cross functionally with engineering employees and other engineering groups, voluntarily shares information, fosters teamwork and collaboration.             

·         Interfaces with senior management to report on project and program milestones and to present project needs and technical knowledge.

·         Develops solutions to difficult problems, which may require ingenuity and creativity, communicates progress toward project/program goals; influences future product/program direction.

·         Manages the daily activities of individual contributors and supervisors, accountable for results, responsible for establishing goals and objectives for the work group; typically manages groups with similar technical or functional responsibility.

 

Required Experience

 

·         Deep experience building .NET web applications using DHTML, jQuery, and ASP.NET AJAX.

·         Ability to lead, motivate and direct a workgroup.

·         Ability to influence others to achieve results.

·         Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

·         At least 5 years of developer experience

·         Proven experience as team /technical lead.

·         Bachelor’s degree from accredited college in related discipline.

 

Preferred Experience

Top of Form

·         Experience developing Silverlight applications

·         Experience using Telerik RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX

·         Working knowledge of Visual Studio 2010 and Team Foundation Server
